Hämmelsmarsch

The local music club will play the traditional “Hämmelsmarsch”, a kind of musical parade that heralds the start of the fun fair.

The Hämmelsmarsch is a Luxembourgish tradition: the local music association walks through the streets to invite everyone to the upcoming fair. The musicians play the song “Hämmelsmarsch“. In the past, a shepherd would lead the parade with his finest sheep, followed by the musicians.

During the Hämmelsmarsch the local music association collects donations, an important source of income for the club.

Saturday, September 19, starting at 9:00 a.m. by tractor, and Sunday, September 20, from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. on foot in the streets of the city center.
